The Carseat Dilema

Oh, how they both have grown! Megan is being promoted to a real carseat. Of course, Jack didn't want to miss out on "his turn" sitting in something. So he jumped into Megan's old infant carrier. It's funny to think that he actually used to fit into it.

Tyson William Ford

On Thursday, September 21, 2006, Adam (brother-not shown) and sister in law (Mandy-shown) delivered their first baby boy. We are so excited, as Little Ty is safe and healthy. (Mandy, Tyson, and Aunt Aly at Timp Hospital in Orem, Utah.)

Grandma Elaine, Alyson, Darrin, Megan, and Jack. Unfortunately, we couldn't take the picture fast enough without Jack and Megan putting their fingers up their nose or in their mouth! Sunday, September 24, 2006

Grandma Elaine with Jack and Megan

Grandma Elaine has never been able to see Megan since she has been born and so we took a day trip to Logan. It was so much fun to be able to spend the afternoon at her house. We enjoyed pie and ice cream and her fun swing. Sunday, September 24, 2006

Jack and His Uncle's

A Day in Logan ~Sunday, September 24, 2006

Jack and Megan particularly loved this swing at Grandma Elaine's house. She was so kind to let them swing in it for as long as they wanted.

Jack and His Shark

Jack has grown a huge interest in sharks and fish. For fun, we watch videos clips on the internet from the Discovery Channel of Shark week. Well, this last week, we- Jack, Megan, and Mommy- were at the grocery store. Of course, they have all their Halloween candy, costumes, etc... all displayed for every young child to admire and WANT. The nice grocery lady asked if she could show Jack something. Well he came back with this shark "hat." (It looked just like this one, but green.) Of course when I told him that we weren't buying that today-trying to teach Jack that he can't have everything any time he wants- and so threw a huge fit right at the check out. I just had to walk away. So today when we were at the store, I saw this orange one and just knew Jack had to have it. Now, he wont let it leave his sight.

Grandma and Grandpa Allred with Us

Grandma and Grandpa Allred drove down to see our new house in South Jordan. Afterwards, we went to Subway sandwhiches for lunch. We don't see these Grandparents all that often and so Jack was very sad to see them leave.

Saturday, September 16, 2006 Jack is 2 years and almost 7 months. Megan is 10 months and 11 days old.

Words of Wisdom from Jack

Wednesday, September 13, 2006- Jack is learning something new every day and repeating almost everything we say. As a parent, you learn where what you need to improve on and areas that need some changing. I (mommy) asked Jack if he wanted some breakfast. "Brafast!" and without skipping a beat, he then says: "Diet Coke, please." I guess that is better than his other favorite saying: "Oh crap!" On the positive note, it could be worse, right?

Then today, Friday, September 15, 2006, I was downstairs getting ready to go out to dinner with Darrin when I hear Jackson yelling for me. From the main floor, Jackson yells, "Alyson, where are you? (pause) Alyson, where are you? Alyson!! 1...2...3."

Megan Sleeping

Monday, September 11, 2006-We had a very busy day. It was so busy that we noticed that Megan fell asleep sitting up in her high chair at dinner time-poor thing! Needless to say, we quickly gave her a bath and put her in her cribby. Oh if only Jack would let her sleep in!

Our House is coming along!

September 7, 2006-We stopped by the house tonight. It is all sheetrocked, taped, and mudded. Yippy! It is fun to see all the progress they are making on it. Maybe one day we will actually get to move in. Jack loves the fact that we let him run around in the dirt and that there is so much to see and explore. He is already calling it: "my house."

Eagle Mountain Hotel

This is our temporary home in Eagle Mountain. Nope, it is not a hotel, my parents have so kindly allowed us to stay with them until our house is done-estimated October 25th. And yep, that is my little Passat stationwagon out front. Jack just loves being around his Nanny and Papa every day. Each morning he wakes us and says: "Where's Nanny? Where's Papa." Of course the reply is always the same: "At work."

Our Dear Friends that we will miss in Highland

Our friends in our neighborhood threw us a going away party. Jack, Zoe Horton, Ryan Bazzelle, & Sophia Bazzelle having way too much fun on the tramp. We are going to miss them all so much.
