Our Baby Turns 9 Months Old...

We can't believe that Surrey is already 9 months old. Where is the time going? At her 9 month check up, she weighed 18.25lbs (40%), 28.5 inches tall (75%) and her whopping head (comes from her dad ;)) is 18 inches around (90%). At least she wont lack in intelligence...

Jack was actually pushing Surrey around in the basement on this block/stroller. I had to supervise, as Surrey was having fun, but wanted to make sure she didn't fall off.

This was my dresser growing up. It got lots of TLC, needless to say. In fact, it was my dad's when he was a little boy. When my parents moved out here 4 years ago, I reinherited it. I have always wanted to do "something" with it, just not sure what. I knew I couldn't give it away, but the cost to have it "redone" was outrageous, until recently. My sister in law found a young mom in Draper that refinishes furniture for a fairly decent price. (She just refinished my Grandma Russell's [dad's mom] cedar chest. It looks fibbity FAB-btw!) So I just had to have her look at this and work some magic. I think she did. Take a look...

Surrey will inherit this dresser when she has a more "grown up" little girls room. I have ideas for bedding, but need to start looking for some fun knobs to finish this dresser off.
