My Sleeping Angels

Monday, April 20th, 2009
After story time, Jack and Megan always ask me after prayers and kisses: "Will you check on me?" So every night before I go to bed, I "check on the children." I make sure they are tucked in (sometimes blankets get kicked off, pillows tumble to the floor, lose teddy bear, etc...). In the morning, Jack asks me what he looked like or if he did or say anything funny. Somtimes my hair falls and it tickles their faces or they grumble in their sleep. I decided to take pictures of the children to show them what they look like sleeping. Why do children look so angelic asleep?

Enjoying the Spring

Monday, April 20th, 2009- The weather was so perfect, that after dinner, we just enjoyed being outside. By the way, my children prefer to go without...especially Megan. As soon as it gets semi warm, the clothes come off. Can't wait till official swimsuit season so at least something is on her...

Once gain, Megan took the following pictures. Not too bad for a 3 year old. Again, another rare sight of me in front of a camera. I was more impressed of how well the picture turned out (not particularly of me), but of how centered and clear they are.

This is in the basement, trying to snag Megan long enough to dress her. Not crazy about my fat arms...there's going to be a lot of barbell this fall!

Easter

Easter Weekend with all the festivities of candy hunting seemed to have tripled this year. Saturday morning (April 11th), we attended our annual neighborhood Easter Egg hunt and breakfast at the clubhouse. It was so cold this year, we left early...
Sunday morning, the children searched for candy throughout the house and perused through their Easter buckets. From the appearance of things, the only thing that occupied Jack and Megan's attention was the 99 cents plastic jelly bean tube with the fishing Easter bunny on top. See's candy-what was the Easter Bunny thinking??? No, children want the cheap stuff.

Sunday afternoon, we headed over to Adam and Mandy's for yet another Easter Egg hunt (not that the children needed more candy...) and a fabulous Easter dinner. This is one of the few photos I allowed of myself during my pregnancy. And surprisingly, Megan took it!

3 More Months of Pregnancy to go...

On my last doctor's visit, my doctor and I dicussed scheduling my c-section for Friday, July 10th. So that means... 3 more months to go from today. (It will be officially scheduled on my next visit the first of May-oh please, oh please, oh please!!!) I have already told Darrin that come August 1st, it's Nutrisystem for two months for the both of us. With my running, I know I will need some hard core, self discipline to take the weight off before the holidays. I have always believed Tea Leoni to be beautiful, but she's also muscular and sculpted (but not over the top). So, she has become my inspiration. I just need to mentally prepare myself for lots of running and no sugar. Now if only I had her genes!

Megan's First Day of Ballet

Friday, April 10th, 2009-We finally decided to enroll our forever Pink Princess into ballet lessons. It's only beginners ballet, but we thought that this would be something that Megan can do, enjoy, and maybe persue? Megan loved shopping for her leotard, tights, and shoes. I am not sure a 3 year old needs $50+ worth of ballet clothes, but she loves them and we love her. Megan loves the idea that one say she will be taking lessons with her sister, Surrey. Let's just get to the recital in June!

Allred Golfing Day...in March

Saturday, March 7, 2009-Despite the wind chill, the sun was out and so we headed out to play miniature golf at our local "Mulboons Golfing Range." Needless to say, we froze our bums off! Megan was more interested in the "playhouse" rather than golfing. I spend most of the time chasing after her or giving 104th South the worst plumber crack with my low rise maternity pants-wasn't thrilled! Jack and Darrin took their game seriously and enjoyed every minute. Personal note-this will be the boys day out adventure.
To help warm ourselves up, we headed to our new 31 Flavors for an ice cream cone. What can I tell you, I was craving mocha almond fudge ice cream! Yes, I would totally drink coffee and support our local Starbucks if it weren't for my "semi ok standards."

This will be one of the few pictures taken of me during pregnancy. Never will I post a full body pregnancy picture. OK, maybe when I head into the delivery surgery room... But then starts Nutrisystem and a manic running schedule from that day on!
