Tee Ball
Tuesday, 8 May 2007-We thought that it might be fun for Jack to play tee ball with a bunch of other boys in our neighborhood. All the little tee ballers (is that what you call them??) are called the Salt Lake Bees (their jerseys are a different color. we happen to be bright green [at least we can spot them from far away!]). I think "we" were more excited about the idea that Jack was and is. (Darrin even signed up to be the assistant coach.) As you can see from the trail of pictures, Jack slowly (Jack move slowly, unheard of) runs away from his actual playing field to play ball with the other children off the field. We can't seem to get him to want to play (when he is supposed to, that is) or even wear his lovely green jersey. Maybe next year...

We have Grass!!
Yes, springtime has arrived-finally-at least long enough for our landscaper to put in our yard. We are so excited to finally having grass and some trees for shade (eventually). Jack seems to be more excited about the grass that we are. We barely can keep him off of it. Unfortunately, we still have to wait just a couple more weeks till we can actually run and play on it. Fingers crossed that we get the playscape up and functioning this weekend, while Darrin has the time off. (OK, not really time off-you know Darrin, not work on "vacation"???- but at least he isn't planning on going into work.)

Saturday, May 5th, 2007
Saturday, May 5th, 2007-Megan managed to go into Mommy's closet, pick out a pair of her shoes, put them on the correct foot and walk out with them on. Megan is a shoe kind of girl. She is always carrying around a pair of shoes, begging me to put them on her. Megan doesn't care whose they are, she just wants to wear them. We surely love our little girl.

AAArrrrggggghhhhhhh Jack the Pirate
March 2007-(Cousin) Ford McClellan's birthday and we were all invited to Nanny's for a BBQ and a scavenger hunt. (Ford loves pirates just as much as he loves skeletons.) Well, on the scavenger hunt with all the cousins, each destination on the map led the children to a new pirate toy: including the eye patch, compass, hook. The hidden treasure was a chocolate cake that poured candy-too cute.

Where's Megan?
April 2007-I (Mommy) heard Jack yelling: "Where's Megan?" over and over again. So, of course, that peaked my interest to see what they were doing and this is what I found. Jack had managed to cover Megan with all their large stuffed animals on her rocking chair. Those two...at least they were having fun and it didn't involve any liquids or permanent markers!

April 2007
April 2007-Jack just loves the movies "Cars" and, of course, all the cars to go along with it. How else do you think mommy convinced Jack to go potty on the toilet while daddy was in California? Well, one night while mommy was cleaning up dinner and daddy was giving the children their baths, she found all Jack's cars lined up on the sofa. Jack likes to line things up a lot. This was just too amusing.

Easter Morning
Easter Weekend
Saturday, April 14th, 2007-Our neighborhood had their annual Easter Egg Hunt. The children looked for the eggs, then followed breakfast. Jack and Megan only ate candy from their basket. They weren't too interested in "real" food, do you blame them though?
The HOA provided this blowup slide for all the children. Jack wanted to go down it over and over again. Megan, on the other hand, got so anxious about the swimming pool, that she "jumped" in. (Mind you, it was 55F that morning!) It wasn't exactly swimsuit weather, but we had a great time regardless!
