With the beautiful weather looming, we drove over to Golden Gardens/Shilshoe Bay for the evening. The children were so excited to finally see the ocean. We parked the car in a grove of trees sort of parking lot (above) and then walked down. Jack and Megan ran to the water. I just almost started to choke up, as I love, love, love the ocean: the smell, the sand in between your toes, the water, the sound of seaguls... Very fun evening. 
Surrey is going to have to get used to the sand. She wasn't sure about it...give her time!
